Review of Fatal Consequences

Fatal Consequences by JG Faherty is a thriller novella that combines suspense, horror and a little bit of the supernatural, and it was really good.

Alec Winter is having a really tough time after the horror that took place when he and his family take a camping trip. He is believed to be a hero because he led rescuers back to the campsite where his children were killed. His wife survives and even she thinks that he is a hero. Only he knows the truth and he is having a hard time dealing with his guilt and his lie. It appears as though someone or something is also having trouble dealing with these things, because everyone who was involved in the rescue is meeting an untimely death.

The writing style flows smoothly and the novella is an easy read. The author is very skilled in building tension and suspense through the story. I was pulled in from the very first page and dragged along until the last page, which was great. I was pretty sure I knew what was happening about half way through, but that did not lessen my reading enjoyment.

I would recommend this novella to anyone who enjoys a well plotted and well crafted suspense thriller. I have not read any other books by this author but I am looking forward to reading more of his work.

I received a free copy of this novella from NetGalley in exchange for a honest review. I would like to thank NetGalley and Samhain Publishing for the opportunity to read and review this novella.
