My pick for week one is Scared Stiff by Annelise Ryan. This is the second book in her Mattie Winston Mystery series. I have read many of the books in this series and I have enjoyed them all. With great characters and great mysteries, what’s not to love?

Annelise Ryan is a pseudonym for author Beth Amos. There are several reasons why it was decided to use a pseudonym, not the least of which is the fact that Beth’s ER patients might not be comfortable knowing she spends her spare time thinking up creative ways to kill people.
