Review:
I really enjoyed reading this book, told from Kara Billings, Cinnamon’s best friend, perspective. I gave a different twist to this series, one that I liked.
As usual, the characters are well developed and well rounded. Any time I get to spend with the folks from Christmas River is great in my book. This novella gave me a better insight into Kara and her family life. I liked the time that Kara and Cinnamon spent together, you can tell they are best friends.
The writing style flows smoothly and this novella is a quick, easy read. Although no dead body is stumbled upon, there is still a mystery to solve. I thought the mystery was well plotted and I did not figure out the culprit until it was revealed at the end.
I very much enjoyed this novella and i would recommend to anyone who enjoys a well written cozy. It was enough to wet my whistle for the next book in the Christmas River Mystery series.
