This latest mystery from the Amazon bestselling Christmas River series is full of heart-pounding twists, sweet romance, and bright holiday spirit to keep you turning the pages long into the cold winter’s night…

It’s one year before the infamous Gingerbread Junction murder scandal, and Cinnamon Peters is feeling downright Grinch-like this holiday season.

After her cookie house crumbles in the annual Gingerbread Junction Competition, the pie baker extraordinaire wants nothing more than to shut herself in her house for the rest of December and be left alone. Unfortunately, she’s got a friend’s wedding to attend this New Year’s Eve, a wedding gingerbread castle to build, and that unpopular pie shop of hers isn’t going to run itself.

But when the best man is found face down in a ditch days before the wedding, it’s clear that somebody’s out to ruin the event.

Can Cinnamon figure out who’s trying to sabotage the wedding before it’s too late?

Matrimony in Christmas River is a heartwarming holiday mystery perfect for readers who can’t get enough of Cinnamon Peters and the cozy, feel-good world of Christmas River. This mystery is a prequel to Murder in Christmas River in the Amazon bestselling Christmas River Cozy Mystery Series. (Goodreads)

Review:

The author is very talented in her descriptive writing and she has a way of writing that makes me really feel like I am in Christmas River. I can picture everything very clearly in my mind and this helps pull me into the story even more.

The characters are well rounded and well developed. I love the relations between Cinnamon and her grandpa Warren. You can tell how much they love each other and how much richer their lives are because of the other. Warren is one of my all time cozy characters, so I was really happy that he was in this book quite a bit.

The mystery was well plotted and moved along at a good pace. There were enough clues to sift through and suspects to consider. The ending was a surprise to me and I really enjoyed that.

I know when I read a book in this series, I am in for a great feel good book. I love this series and I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys a well crafted cozy mystery.
