Felicity Carrol and the Murderous Menace: A Felicity Carrol Mystery by [Marcantonio, Patricia]Heiress and amateur detective Felicity Carrol makes a perilous journey to apprehend a notorious murderer who has terrorized England–and now continues his vicious killing spree across the pond.

Felicity Carrol would rather be doing just about anything other than attending balls or seeking a husband. What she really wants to do is continue her work using the latest forensic methods and her photographic memory to help London police bring murderers to justice, so when her friend, Scotland Yard Inspector Jackson Davies, weak from injury, discovers a murder in a wild mining town in Montana that echoes the terrible crimes in England, Felicity decides to go herself.

In Placer, Montana, her first obstacle is handsome lawman Thomas Pike, who uses his intuition as much as his Colt in keeping law and order in this unruly town. When the murderer strikes again, Felicity begins to suspect Davies is correct: Jack the Ripper has come to America. Felicity sets out to find the killer in a town chock full of secrets, shadows, and suspects, but as the body count rises, this intrepid sleuth faces her most dangerous adversary yet–and discovers that not all killers are as they seem.  (Amazon)

Marsupials and Murder (An Isle of Man Ghostly Cozy Book 13) by [Xarissa, Diana]

Fenella Woods has been living on the Isle of Man for a year, and it now seems as if every charity there feels it’s appropriate to start soliciting her. Most of the letters get turned over to Fenella’s advocate to deal with, but one request catches Fenella’s eye.

Darrell Higgins wants her help monitoring the wild wallaby population in the Curraghs wetlands area of the island.
When she agrees to spend an hour in the wetlands one morning, the man in her life, Daniel Robinson, offers to join her. After a boring hour in the cold and rain, they both can’t wait to get indoors, but on the walk back to Daniel’s car, they find Darrell under a bush, dead.

There isn’t any shortage of suspects, from volunteers with the charity to business colleagues of the dead man, not to mention a quartet of ex-wives and one current girlfriend, but motive is harder to determine. Can Daniel and Fenella work out who killed the island’s main marsupial supporter before the killer chooses another victim?  (Amazon)

Press Pass Mysteries: Books 1-4 Box Set by [Anderton, April]

Get the first four books in the Press Pass Mystery Series, all in one for a SPECIAL PRE-ORDER PRICE! Price after release day will be $9.99

Book One – Previous Engagements

She said yes! And now, she’s dead.

Reporter Ali Loukas has her sights set on advancing from radio newscaster to TV correspondent. When Senator Maxwell’s supermodel fiancee turns up dead and the story practically drops into her lap, she seizes the opportunity to solve the murder, scoop her competitors, and move up the broadcasting ladder.

But gaining access to evidence and witnesses without stepping on the toes of family friend Detective Ryan McGuire could be tricky.

Despite a knife wedged in her front door and opposition from the police, Ali is determined to prove that she can find the answers, solve the crime and earn the dream job…if she can stay alive to make it all happen.

Book Two – Drowned at The Rat

Rockstars, punk bars, and screaming yellow guitars.

When the bass player of a local punk group turns up dead at the infamous night club, it looks like a clear-cut case of band envy. Reporter Ali Loukas isn’t so sure.

Something smells off and with the help of her boyfriend and homicide detective, Ryan McGuire, Ali dons a leather mini-skirt and goes undercover to sniff out the real killer. If she survives the disgusting ladies’ room, she just might track down the culprit.

Book Three – Coconut Crush

Dinner, drinks, and death. A cruise they won’t forget.

Reporter Ali Loukas hasn’t had time to legally change her name, but a week in the middle of the ocean with her shiny new husband should mean time to kick back and relax–with no dead bodies.

No such luck. Ali’s reputation and penchant for coming across corpses have preceded her. Trapped on a floating city with a handful of eccentric fans, she finds herself swept up in the lifestyle of the elite.

When a body turns up on the second day at sea, one fan turns to Ali, expecting her to help the ship’s security team come up with a killer. But Security’s not interested in Ali’s help and they threaten to throw her in the brig if she interferes with their investigation.

Mysterious elderly stalkers, a magic show gone bad, and a killer on board, make Ali wonder if her tropical vacation will bring her closer to her husband as intended or send her overboard.

Book Four – First Night, Last Rites

Sweet cannolis, fire eaters, and tickets to heaven. There’s something for everyone at Boston’s First Night festivities.

Field reporter, Ali McGuire, chases end-of-the-world stories in the months leading up to Y2K, but nothing prepares her for the morning after, when a Catholic priest is found dead in an underground sanctuary, surrounded by weapons, cash, and stockpiles of food.

Police investigate the death of the corrupt clergyman and land on a suspect, but Ali’s behind-the-scenes access to the nights’ street performers and vendors shines a different light on the dead priest.

Sparks fly between the police and the press as Ali races to uncover the truth before an iconic local church is shut down and their beloved leader ends up wearing the wrong kind of collar.

A Crafter Quilts a Crime: A Handcrafted Mystery by [Quinn, Holly]Perfect for fans of Betty Hechtman and Maggie Sefton, Holly Quinn’s third Handcrafted mystery aspires to wrap you in its warmth.

Community Craft proprietor Sammy Kane must piece together a patchwork of clues when a “live” mannequin ends up stone-cold dead.

Snowcapped pines and glittery dusted sidewalks adorn tranquil Heartsford, Wisconsin, while residents cuddle beneath heirloom quilts in front of cozy wood fires. But come the next day, the below-zero temperatures won’t keep the locals away from Heartsford’s annual Fire & Ice event. To boost customer traffic at Community Craft’s one-night-only sale, Samantha “Sammy” Kane persuades a few of the craftspeople who sell their wares at the store to participate in a live mannequin window display contest.

Local quilter Wanda Wadsworth emerges as a favorite to win the contest, as she manages to not move a muscle for an unusual amount of time. Onlookers outside the window try everything to get her to crack–tapping on the glass and making funny faces–but nothing disrupts Wanda’s stillness. When the eagle-eyed spectators realize Wanda isn’t breathing, a blanket of grief and fear descends upon the wintry town.

Detective Liam Nash can’t seem to piece the clues together. Fortunately, Sammy’s cousin, Heidi, and her sister, Ellie, are on hand to reconvene their detective team, S.H.E. They set out to solve Wanda’s untimely death before the case grows as icy as a sub-zero Wisconsin winter. But they are all too aware that the killer is too close for comfort.  (Amazon)
