The Haunted Homecoming
Southern Ghost Hunter Mystery, Book #10
Apple cider, bonfires, football, and—ghosts.
It’s homecoming weekend in Sugarland, Tennessee and ghost hunter Verity Long is tickled to see so many souls—living and dead—back in town to celebrate. But not all reunions are happy ones, and when Verity stumbles upon a dead body by the football field, it appears someone has already evened the score. (Goodreads)
The characters are well rounded and well developed. Verity’s mom has come to visit Sugarland for the homecoming festivities. She is looking forward to seeing her best friend and spending time with her. Instead, her best friend is found inside the time capsule. Now Verity, with the help of Frankie, has to figure out who killed her. And Frankie is dealing with his own problems with Molly, his girlfriend. Verity has a lot to deal with, I hope she can handle it.
The writing style flows smoothly and it was a quick easy read. The author is very talented in her descriptive writing and I was taken on a ghostly ride to see what would happen. The mystery was well plotted and there were enough suspects to consider and clues to sift through.
I thought this book was very good. I enjoyed getting to know Verity’s mom better and spending more time with Molly. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a well crafted cozy mystery. And I cannot wait to find out the next mystery awaiting Verity.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book and provided my honest review.
