Review:

The characters are well rounded and well developed.  Lyra is a famous chef who writes cookbooks, judges competitions and has her own restaurant.  Maggie is Lyra’s assistant and she is indispensable to Lyra, as well as her friend.  And speaking of friends, Lyra is reunited with her best friend, Kaden, who she has lost contact with. When things start happening that are troublesome, Lyra has to figure out what is happening.  With the help of Maggie, Kaden, and her loving beagle, Cinnamon, Lyra must find out who the culprit is.

The author is very talented in her descriptive writing and it pulled me into the story from the very beginning.  The writing style flows smoothly and the book is an easy read.  The mystery was well plotted and there were enough clues to sift through and suspects to consider.

I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a well crafted cozy mystery.  I will have to read the next book in the series and see what Lyra and Cinnamon get into next.
