The New York Times bestselling Cupcake Bakery Mysteries bake up sweet surprises, but as the series continues, Mel and Angie are in for a fresh batch of trouble…
Scottsdale, Arizona, may not be the liveliest place on earth, but it’s never been as dead as this. Hundreds of fans have gathered together for the first annual Old Town Zombie Walk, and Mel, Angie, and the Fairy Tale Cupcake crew are donning their best undead attire to sell some horror-themed desserts to the hungry hordes.
But the fun turns to fright when Mel finds a real dead body in a prop casket outside of the bakery’s truck—and the corpse looks alarmingly like a zombie of their own. Knowing that Joe, Angie’s brother and Mel’s former flame, has been working on a dangerous mob case, Mel worries that the murder is a hit gone wrong and that someone near and dear was the real target. To keep any of her friends from winding up six feet under, Mel will do whatever it takes to find a killer—no matter how scary things get…

Review:
The characters are well rounded and well developed. Mel and Angie are involved in the first annual Old Time Zombie Walk. They are supplying horror-themed desserts for the event. When someone is killed at their display, Mel and Angie have to figure out who the killer is and why they did the dirty deed.
The author is very talented in her descriptive writing and these descriptions pulled me into the story from the very beginning. The writing style flows smoothly and the book is an easy read. The mystery was well plotted and there were enough clues to sift through and suspects to consider and was not easily solved.
I would highly recommend this book (and series) to anyone who enjoys a well crafted cozy mystery. Be sure you give this series a try, you will be glad you did.

I’m skeptical whenever I am going to read a short story. Anything less than 100 pages, and I wonder how in the world the author is going to pull it all together for a cohesive, enjoyable story. But C.K. Fyfe certainly accomplished that with Summer Camp Culprit. ~Brooke Blogs
If you’re looking for a quick evening read that’s part light mystery, part clean romance, part nostalgia, and fully entertaining then you need to pick up a copy of Summer Camp Culprit by C.K. Fyfe. ~Reading is my Superpower

Lindsey’s teenage sweetheart Tyler shows up, stirring up feelings in her that had long lain dormant. Too bad she doesn’t have time to dwell on him. Someone is breaking into the cabins, and if she doesn’t find the culprit, more than her heart will be at stake.
C.K. Fyfe has always enjoyed a good mystery. Fyfe’s childhood love of Nancy Drew and The Hardy Boys led to a grown-up love of writing cozy mysteries with quirky, funny, and kindhearted characters. Fyfe lives in “The Wolverine State.” Much like wolverines, Fyfe’s villains have vicious dispositions, but the clever sleuths know how to tame their foes’ tempers.

#1 New York Times bestselling author C. J. Box’s Treasure State finds Cassie Dewell in Montana on the trail of a con man.
Private Investigator Cassie Dewell’s business is thriving, and her latest case puts her on the hunt for a slippery con man who’s disappeared somewhere in the “treasure state”. A wealthy Florida widow has accused him of absconding with her fortune, and wants Cassie to find him and get it back. The trail takes Cassie to Anaconda, Montana, a quirky former copper mining town that’s the perfect place to reinvent yourself. As the case develops, Cassie begins to wonder if her client is telling her everything.
On top of that, Cassie is also working what’s easily one of her strangest assignments ever. A poem that promises buried treasure to one lucky adventurer has led to a cutthroat competition and five deaths among treasure-hunters. But Cassie’s client doesn’t want the treasure. Instead, he claims to be the one who hid the gold and wrote the poem. And he’s hired Cassie to try to find him. Between the two cases, Cassie has her hands full.
In Montana, a killer view can mean more than just the scenery, and Cassie knows much darker things hide behind the picturesque landscape of Big Sky Country. Treasure State, C. J. Box’s highly anticipated follow-up to The Bitterroots, is full of more twists and turns than the switchbacks through the Anaconda Range. (Amazon)

USA Today and Amazon bestselling author Lois Winston began her award-winning writing career with Talk Gertie to Me, a humorous fish-out-of-water novel about a small-town girl going off to the big city and the mother who had other ideas. That was followed by the romantic suspense Love, Lies and a Double Shot of Deception.
Then Lois’s writing segued unexpectantly into the world of humorous amateur sleuth mysteries, thanks to a conversation her agent had with an editor looking for craft-themed mysteries. In her day job Lois was an award-winning craft and needlework designer, and although she’d never written a mystery—or had even thought about writing a mystery—her agent decided she was the perfect person to pen a series for this editor. Thus, was born the Anastasia Pollack Crafting Mysteries, which Kirkus Reviews dubbed “North Jersey’s more mature answer to Stephanie Plum.” The series now includes eleven novels and three novellas. Lois also writes the Empty Nest Mysteries, currently at two novels, and one book so far in her Mom Squad Capers series.
To date, Lois has published twenty novels, five novellas, several short stories, one children’s chapter book, and one nonfiction book on writing, inspired by her twelve years working as an associate at a literary agency

Review:
Mae and the Laundry Club Ladies are back to solve another murder mystery. During the Bourbon Fall Festival a body is found. Mae, Hank and the Ladies have to figure out the person responsible. She also has to figure out what she is going to do about Hank’s question. Everyone wants to know.
The author is very talented in her descriptive writing and I felt like I was at the campsite and the town, watching all the action take place and listening to what the Laundry Club is doing. The writing style flows smoothly and the book is an easy read. The mystery was well plotted and it was not easily solved.
I would highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a well crafted cozy mystery. I cannot wait to see what Mae and the gang have to solve next.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book and provided my honest review.

An impending divorce. An ornery homicide detective. The cruise of a lifetime. And ghosts.
Midlife on the high seas is proving to be a real killer.
A laugh out loud Paranormal Women’s Fiction Novel by New York Times, USA TODAY, & Wall Street Journal bestseller Addison Moore. Humor with a side of homicide.
If I thought the first half of my life was a bumpy ride, I’d better buckle up because I’m about to go over the hill and off the rails. A cruise ship cozy mystery!
My name is Trixie Troublefield, and I see ghosts. It’s sort of a new thing, and it’s more than a problem.
A group called the Cancel Culture Club has set sail on the Emerald Queen. Society may not want anything to do with this unsavory bunch but a killer is sure interested in at least one of them.
And once that body shows up on the scene so does a poltergeist—and that good-looking ghost just so happens to bear a striking resemblance to a certain handsome detective I’m seeing.
Of course, I’m documenting the entire trip on my new blog, Suddenly Single—What a Trip! But in an effort to maintain some semblance of sanity I leave out a few details—like the fact I’ve managed to stumble upon yet another corpse—and exactly how hot the ghost is who was sent to help solve the murder.
I don’t dare tell about the fact I’m itching to take the next step in my relationship with Ransom either.
Some things are better left unsaid—and if my jumbled nerves have any vote in the matter, they might just be left undone as well.
Midlife on the high seas is proving to be murder.
On the bright side it’s going to be eighteen glorious nights to paradise—even if we are sailing to the South Pacific with a killer.
