Review:
The characters are well rounded and well developed. Violet has lot going right now. She has her journalism duties, her secretive Merry Maker duties and a visit from Mae West. When a body is found in the town’s mini-village she has to figure out the murderer before someone else is targeted. This time she will have Mae’s help to figure it out.
The author is very talented in her descriptive writing and these descriptions pulled me into the story from the very beginning. Whether Violet was pursuing clues or spending time with Mae I was very intrigued and wanted to know more. The writing style flows smoothly and the book is an easy read. The mystery was well plotted and there were enough suspects to consider and clues to sift through.
I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a well crafted cozy mystery. Find out if Mae and Violet can figure out the mystery.
