Review:
The characters are well rounded and well developed. When Rachel Davenport receives a tip to go to a rundown cabin to find a runaway teen, she does not hesitate. And in order to escape the kidnappers, she goes to a cabin where Pat Ryan is recovering from an injury. Together they must fight a crime boss for their safety and the runaways. They have plenty of obstacles to overcome and they will have a lot of close calls. But they are determined to come out victorious or die trying.
The author is very talented in her descriptive writing and these descriptions pulled me into the story from the very beginning. Although it is summer, when I was reading it, I felt like I was right there in the winter, trying to stay alive. The action was non-stop from the very beginning and I had to stop reading every so often so I could relax. The writing style flows smoothly and it defines the characters very clearly by their actions and words.
I would highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a well crafted christian mystery. This mystery is full of suspense and non-stop action.
