Welcome to Normal, Kentucky where NOTHING is normal.

Librarian Abby Fawn is star struck when her favorite romance author, Nadine White, has rented a cozy camper at the Happy Trails Campground for the winter months.

Abby is devastated to find out Nadine White is nothing like the person she portrays in interviews or on social media. In fact, Nadine White is not nice at all and Abby lets her feelings known that she thinks Nadine is a fraud. . .after she finds out Nadine has a ghost writer.

When Nadine White is found dead in the Normal Library, Abby Fawn is Detective Hank Sharp’s number one suspect.

It’s time for Mae West to put up her camping gear for the winter months and put on her sleuthing gear to figure out who is framing Abby Fawn before Abby is the ending in Nadine White’s final chapter.

From USA Today Bestselling Author Tonya Kappes, this bestselling and hilarious mystery series is all the rage! You don’t want to miss out! (Goodreads)

Review:

The characters are well rounded and well developed. Mae and the Laundry Club girls are quirky, funny and caring and I really enjoy getting to spend time with them. When one of their own is accused of murder, they are right there, protecting her and helping her in any way they can. And Mae has more on her plate when her foster mom comes to visit. Will she be able to handle it all?

The writing style flows smoothly and the book is an easy read. The author is very talented in creating authentic Southern settings and creates communities that I would love to visit.

The mystery is carried on well throughout the book. There were enough clues to sift through and suspects to consider. I thought I knew who the killer was, but I was wrong. Or was I?

I would recommend this fun cozy mystery to and one who enjoys a well crafted cozy. I am already looking forward to the next book.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book and provided my honest review.

Six Cats a Slayin' (Cat in the Stacks Mystery Book 10) by [James, Miranda]Charlie Harris and his Maine Coon cat, Diesel, are busy decking the halls for the holidays when an unexpected delivery and a shocking murder conspire to shake up the season in this all new installment of the New York Times bestselling series.

December twenty-fifth is right around the corner, and Charlie is making his list and checking it twice. He is doing his best to show some peace and goodwill toward his nosy neighbor Gerry Arbitron, a real estate agent who seems to have designs on his house (and maybe on him, as well), while preparing for a very important role, indeed–his first Christmas as a grandfather.

The last thing Charlie expects is to gain several new additions to his family. Charlie finds a box on his doorstep with five kittens inside and a note begging him to keep them safe. With Diesel’s help, Charlie welcomes the tiny felines into the Harris household just as Gerry decides it is time to throw a lavish holiday party.

Determined to make her mark on Athena, Gerry instead winds up dead at her very own party. Though attempts to dig into her past come up empty, Charlie and his girlfriend, Helen Louise, witness two heated exchanges involving Gerry before her death: one with a leading citizen and another with the wife of a good friend. Will one of these ladies wind up on the sheriff’s naughty list? Charlie and Diesel have to wrap up the case before the special season is ruined by a sinister scrooge.   (Amazon)

End of the Lane (Book 1)

It seems the small town of Eden is not the idyllic place she’d imagined it to be. There’s a killer on the lose but the finger of suspicion is pointed at Abby.

Be Still My Heart (Book 2)
Abby Maguire is in a rut and in desperate need of a scoop, not another dead body, but that’s what she gets.

Everyone has turned up, and everyone is dressed in 1920s costumes, including the dead body she finds.

The Last Ride (Book 3)
A carousel. A body. An inheritance.
Eden’s local café owner, Joyce Breeland, has issued Abby Maguire an ultimatum – the small-town newspaper reporter must find the identity of the Eden Bloggess or be banned from Joyce’s café. Functioning on limited coffee rations, Abby Maguire goes in search of this elusive blogger only to stumble upon a body and a mysterious inheritance. There’s a killer on the loose and he might be working his way through a list…

I LOVE this book. The writing flowed, the story drew me in immediately and the characters were incredibly likable. Abby flies halfway around the world to start a new life as a small-town newspaper reporter in Australia. Her first assignment is supposed to be about cake, of all things, but instead she finds herself investigating the murder of her new boss. This is sincerely the perfect cozy mystery. It is fast-paced, lighthearted, fun and engaging. I will be keeping my eye out for more books by Sonia Parin. (End of the Lane) Amazon Reviewer
